About Me

Shuchi, The Writer

n585372826_92145_909 I have been into the writing business for a little over two years and I am happy to say that my stint has given me what I would like to call a “comprehensive writing experience”. From tag-lines, site content and feature articles (on a slew of topics) to review columns, E-books and editing – you name it and I’ve most likely done it. I am equally comfortable writing for print, web as well as billboards. The Portfolio page will give you a fair drift about my writing style and experience while the Clients page has a list of all companies/publications that I have worked with in the past (barring the ghost-writing projects). Writing for me is not just a job but a passion that keeps me going. I take my job seriously and have the highest regard for a client’s time and money. My work ethic revolves around producing quality work that is tailored in accordance with the clients’ requirements and gives me creative satisfaction too. This is probably the reason why I don’t take up more work than I can handle.

Just for the record, I used to be an Optometrist before I found my true calling in the magic of the written word. A Masters in English Literature and Linguistics served to nurture the creative side of me and to a certain extent, helped my mind transcend from the scientific to the artistic.

As a token of appreciation and encouragement for my achievements and hard-work, The Writers Bureau recently awarded me the “The Writer of the Year 2009” award (runner-up) in January 2009.

Shuchi, The Person

dscn3274 Animal lover, tree hugger and complete nature’s child - that makes up for a large chunk of my identity (the other  fraction being social rebel, selective introvert, fiercely independent and opinionated) . I love exploring the unexplored and believe that being positive can truly change the world around you or atleast the way you look at it and yeah, I totally dig traveling and the outdoors.

On the outset, I am a warm and friendly lady until someone pushes the wrong buttons.
